Marshall Jacob Neuhaus,

Marshall transitioned to heaven on 29 August, 2016, while struggling tremendously to overcome a traumatic brain injury. Born on 9 May 1980 in Spokane Washington, Marshall made Dayton his home in 1997. He was a graduate of Wayne High School, Sinclair Community College, and Wright State University. Marshall enjoyed life. He was an avid motorcycle rider and participated in various charitable activities through motorcycle runs, many benefiting the children of our community. Words cannot capture what we feel in our hearts. Marshall will be missed by; his father Bryan Neuhaus and wife Gale Neuhaus, mother Lael Portwood and husband Ron Portwood, Sisters Lilah (Vincent) Rice Abigail Portwood, brother Randall Portwood, Grandparents Nan and Lee Brazell, Grandmother Carol Belhorn, his surrogate Ohio family Mark, Dianna, Mark Jr. and Leah Schultz, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, and the best of friends. He will be truly missed by his motorcycle "buddies". Marshall is preceded by his Step Mother Michele Neuhaus, and Grandparent(s) Glenn & Frances Neuhaus, John Belhorn, Richard & Vera Koester, and Waffers & Ann Brown. "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday, September 2, 2016 at the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday at the church with Dr. Andrew J.O. Wright officiating. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Arrangements by the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.
