Mark Alan Thompson

Mark Alan Thompson, 59, of New Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was born on March 15, 1966, in Lorain, OH, the son of Gerald and Brenda (Lyden) Thompson, Sr. Mark retired from Honda EGA in 2022 and was currently working for Beach Manufacturing. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an avid and very skilled woodworker. Mark was a 1984 graduate of Tecumseh High School, where he participated in baseball as a pitcher and played the snare drum in the marching band. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Thompson, Sr. Mark is survived by his wife Tracy Thompson; son Robert James; daughters Victoria (Jahkya), Carolyn (Keith), and Loraine (Herman); grandchildren Noah Alexander, Richelle Kameren, and Malachi Lamont; mother Brenda C. (Lyden) Thompson; brothers Jerry (Metta), Jr., Mike (Sharon), and Chris (Jennifer); sister-in-law Sherry Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 4-6pm, with a Celebration of Mark’s life beginning at 6:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
