Marjorie A. Stephens, 82, of Springfield passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 in her home. She was born August 24, 1934 in South Charleston the daughter of Jesse Everett and Dorothy (Woodhouse) Farris and was a 1952 graduate of Springfield High School. Marjorie retired from Krogers on Bechtle Avenue in 2007 and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Marjorie had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh which will live on in her children and grandchildren’s memories of her. She is survived by four children Tammy L. (Steve) Wilson of Springfield, Donna L. Waldron of Dayton, David C. (Monta Smith) Stephens of Byron, GA, and Kathy A. (Paul) Tingley of Springfield; one brother Everett (Gayle) Farris, Jr. of Springfield; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husbands Donald Welty and Charles Stephens; daughter Cynthia A. Welty; and granddaughter Danielle L. Delawder. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-5 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME . The service to honor Marjorie’s life will be Thursday at 11:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Craig Grammer officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
