Margie E. Lyons

Margie Lyons, 89, of Springfield passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 following several years of failing health. She was born February 3, 1927 in Thealka, KY the daughter of William and Gypsy (Fraley) Lyons. Margie retired from the F.W. Woolworth Co. after 45 years of service. She had attended the First Assembly of God, and was a member of United Senior Services where she enjoyed taking their bus trips, and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Margie is survived by one brother and two sisters-in-law John and Shirley Lyons of Springfield and Liz Lyons of Detroit, MI; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers Walter and Woodrow Lyons, and a sister Edna Lyons. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-2 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Margie’s life will be Thursday at 2:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
