Marcella R. Ritchie

Marcella “Marcy” R. Ritchie, 82, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was born October 11, 1942, in Springfield, the daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth Moore. Marcy loved playing poker and always played her special numbers on Pick 3. She enjoyed her Thursday night dinners with her family. She watched her favorite Westerns religiously. Most of all her family was her biggest joy and spending time with them brightened her day. Marcy is preceded in death by her husband Donald Ray “Buddy” Ritchie; brothers Joseph Moore and Ronald Moore; sisters Beverly Moore, Sharon Yates, and Rebecca Brakeall; brothers-in-law Ray Murnahan, Carl Yates, and Johnny Brooks; daughter-in-law Penny Cochenour. She is survived by her children Mary Ritchie, Donald Ritchie, Tina (Gary) Grigg, and Nina (Ross Emrick) Ritchie; grandchildren Sherrie (Rodney) Thornton, Jeffery (Heather) Mader; Nicholas (Suzie) Ritchie; Christopher (Shelli) Ritchie; Phillip (Julie) Smith, Wade Ritchie,  Morgan (Travis) Cain, Katelyn (Jonah) Brun, Joseph Weaver, Haley  (Tim) Matthews, and Hunter (Kayla) Grigg; great-grandchildren Sean (Casey) Thornton, Karissa (Joseph) Reck Nathan Ritchie, Journey (Nathan) Abner, Kyndal Ritchie, Carter Ritchie, Rylee Ritchie, Addison Weaver, Mavis Weaver, Grayson Cain, Brylee Cain, Jackson Mader, Kaula Oneil, Alexis Oneil, Mila Ritchie, Emerald Matthews, Ivory Matthews, Jamie Grigg, Elliana Grigg, and Everett Grigg; great-great grandchildren Brayden Matthews, Daxton Glass, Jace Abner, Kali Keyton, Lainey Glass, and Callan Abner; siblings Billy (Hannah) Moore, Donnie (Sandy) Moore, Larry (Sue) Moore, Carolyn Brooks, Joan Moore, and Carol Moore. Visitation will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, from 5-8pm at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. The funeral to honor Marcy will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 1:00pm at the memorial home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
