Lt. Col. U.S.A.F. (Retired) William F. Leslie

Lt. Col. U.S.A.F. (Retired) William F. Leslie age 73 of Huber Heights passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022at Soin Medical Center. William was born the son of Frances & Emily (Midgehall) Leslie on November 17, 1948 in Okinawa, Japan. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Christina Crank; brother-in-law Jonathan Hooper. William is survived by his beloved wife Anita Leslie; sons Chad (Tabby) Leslie, & Bobby Morgan; daughters Melanie (Luke) Anderson, Trina (Jeremy) Chmielewski, & Tina Haywood; brothers Thomas (Kay) Leslie, Richard Leslie, Robert Leslie, & John Leslie; sister Ann Hooper; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends. William was a proud member of the United States Air Force retiring after attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post 464, lifetime member of the VFW Post 6605, & the New Carlisle Eagles. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, yard work, golf, & swimming. Most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family. William was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, & friend. He will be missed by all of those who love him. Friends & family may call on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR, & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME 507 West Jefferson St. New Carlisle, Ohio 45344 from 4PM – 7PM. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 12PM at the Funeral Home with Spider Webb officiating. Interment to follow in the Byron Cemetery, Fairborn.
