Lowell R. Nawman

Lowell R. Nawman, 89, of New Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was born January 31, 1933, in Springfield, the son of the late Lloyd and Bertha Nawman. Lowell served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He later graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Lowell went on to work at W.P.A.F.B. in the Communications and Avionics Lab, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #200 Huber Heights, VFW Post #3283 Huber Heights and AmVets Post #0464 Huber Heights. Lowell is preceded in death by his parents; wife June Nawman; and grandson Lucas Bagford. He is survived by his children Debbie (Elizabeth Howard) Bagford, Russell (Angela) Nawman and David (Julie Bagford) Nawman; grandchildren Jon Adam (Rachel) Bagford, Andy Nawman, Samantha (Skylar) Coleman, Timothy Nawman, Ella (Matthew Fuentes) Nawman, Edward Reese Nawman and Daniel (Andrew) Snyder; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 10am-12pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home with the service to honor Lowell at 12:00pm at the funeral home.
