Lonnie Wayne Smith

Lonnie Wayne Smith, 83, of Medway, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. He was born July 25, 1940, in Charleston, WV, the son of the late Wilbur and Elizabeth Smith. Lonnie retired from Vectren after 26 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Joyce Smith; brothers Jimmy and Rick Smith; sister Marcella Fox; grandchildren Heather (Roger) See and Josh (Marci) Smith; great-grandchildren Hannah, Kiley, and Maggie; special daughter-in-law Tina Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents; son Jeff Smith; and brothers Donald, Brad, and Alvin Smith. A graveside service to honor Lonnie will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 2:00pm at Medway Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
