L Gregory Wheeler

L. Gregory Wheeler age 49, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.  Born January 24, 1975, in Xenia, Ohio at Greene Memorial Hospital.  Resident of Fairborn for 49 years.  Married to Kristen Stearns Wheeler on July 1, 2000, high school sweethearts of Fairborn City Schools.  Greg worked at Tenneco.  Greg is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James & Janie Taylor of Crossville, Tennessee; paternal grandmother Jean Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio; paternal grandfather R. Clayton Wheeler of Indianapolis, Indiana; stepfather Harley Crutchfield; favorite aunt Carol Foster of Connersville, Indiana; father-in-law Donald Stearns.  Greg is survived by the love of his life Kristen; their little girl Mimosa the cat; Mother Patty Crutchfield; father Rocky (Frances) Wheeler; mother in law Barbara Stearns; loving sister Roxana Williams; beloved nephews & nieces J.J. Williams, Audrey (Jamison) Espino, Steven (Olivia Kilby) Coffey, Emily (Brian Felix) Meek, & Sara Meek; sister in laws Lisa (Greg) Coffey, Alison (Jeff) Meek; along with many other extended family members & a host of friends.  Greg was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  Greg was an avid beach lover & enjoyed traveling to Florida & Gatlinburg.  He was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes & the Cincinnati Bengals.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching WWE wrestling & going to TGI Fridays to sit at the bar with his wife.  Most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.  Friends & family may call on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 11AM – 1PM at TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR, & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME 507 W. Jefferson St. New Carlisle, Ohio where a funeral service will be held at 1PM with Pastor Buck Smith officiating.  Interment to follow in Byron Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center in Greg’s honor.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.trostelchapman.com
