Kenneth Slusher

Kenneth Gabe Slusher (Poppa) met the Lord on January 2, 2023, at 11p.m. in Mount Dora, Florida.  He was born in Harlan, Ky on April 24,1941. He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate Dianne Slusher, his favorite grandchild, Kailey Morgan Weimer, son David Hensley, daughter Tina Hensley, Father Roosevelt Slusher, sister Theresia Slusher Hauger and brother Jerry Slusher.  He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and a retired engineer from CSX railroad after 40 years of service.  Poppa was larger than life and didn’t know a stranger. He lived his entire life taking care of his family and being an exceptional example of what a   father, grandfather, husband, brother and son should strive to be. He touched more lives than he ever knew and was the best human God put on this earth. The world will not be the same without him. He will be loved and missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.   He is survived by daughters Kimberly Weimer, Casandra Slusher, Tiffany Lewis, sons Kenny Slusher, Jerry Slusher and Jeff Slusher, Grandchildren Kenny Slusher Jr., Josh Weimer, Phillip Slusher, Kaleb Slusher, Kourtney Slusher, Kameron Slusher, Jenna Slusher, Erica Slusher, Elizabeth Slusher, Jared Slusher, Brittany Allender, Mathew and Allison Setty, Samantha Slusher, Markus Draine, Kristin Koester Brooklyn Hergenrother, 17 great grandchildren, sisters Pamela Slusher Bogin, Saundra Slusher, brothers Rudy Slusher, Gary Slusher and his mother Helen Slusher.  Friends & family may call on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 5PM – 7PM at RICHARDS, RAFF, & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 10AM with Pastor Charles Tatum officiating.  Interment to follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
