Kenneth "Pappy" A. Ackley

Kenneth “Pappy” A. Ackley age 80 of Springfield passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  He was born the son of Ora A. & Goldie M. (Woods) on May 8, 1944, in Pickaway County, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife Georgia “Peach” Ackley; siblings Ralph, Etta Mae, Junior, Bob, Ward, Tom & Patty.  Pappy is survived by  his beloved children Arley (Michelle) Ackley of Springfield, DeeDee (Tim) Harris of Springfield, Missy Ackley of Springfield & Ken (Vodie) Ackley of Springfield; grandchildren Jonathan, Josh (Jade), Jordan (Telisha), Timmy (Amanda) Tyler (Jaclyn), Kenny III, Kyle (Savannah), Keith (Shelby), Whit, James, & Brandon; 26 great grandchildren; special friend Jim Hamilton; several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.  Pappy was a loving dad, grandpa, uncle & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  He enjoyed working on cars, attending car shows, watching westerns, most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family especially while cooking out.  Friends & family may call on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 11AM – 12PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E.
