Kathy D. Richards

Kathy D. Richards, 67, of Adairville, KY, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, January 4, 2024. She was born in Dayton on July 18, 1956, the daughter of the late Eugene and Carol Pugh. Kathy was a free spirit, who loved everyone. She made you laugh, was the life of the party, always funny and fun to be around. Kathy never judged you to love you. She gave a hell of a fight against cancer for two years. Kathy’s husband Todd was her great love and best friend. She loved being with her sisters, loved her kids, grandkids, family, and friends. Kathy received her wings peacefully. Kathy is survived by her husband of 30 years Todd; children April Lewis, Jamie Lewis, Heather Lewis, and Lee Richards; siblings Debbie (Lee) Shelton, Billy Pugh, Vicky (Walt) Taylor, and Gena (Mark) Risner; grandchildren Whitney, Akash, Mateo, and Dakotah; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law Marilyn and Gale Richards; and nephew Marc Taylor. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10am-12pm with the service to honor Kathy beginning at 12:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support through Kathy’s journey. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice.
