Brenda Sue Warner, 73, of Springfield passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Springfield Regional Hospital after an acute illness. She was born in Fort Knox Kentucky on August 26, 1951 and would proudly tell anyone who would listen that she was a "Kentucky girl" at heart. Brenda was preceded in death by both parents, Frank Lee and Mary Jane (Ison) Warner; her two brothers Larry (Johanna) Warner, and David (Brenda) Warner; her brother-in-law Keith Crinkey and her sister-in-law Brenda (McConkey) Warner. Brenda is survived by her son Kyle Warner, grandson Braydon Hilt, sister and best friend Debbie (Warner) Crinkey, sister-in-law Johannah (Stevely) Warner, several cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Brenda, a 1969 graduate of Springfield High school, loved taking yearly trips to Kentucky to see her friends, going to BINGO or the casino, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching the Reds (except Joey Votto) play baseball, the University of KY play basketball and any show on the game show network. She took pride in her job supporting adults with disabilities at Consumer Support Services and found her work to be very rewarding. But her greatest joys came from watching her grandson Braydon grow up and the time that she got to spend with her son Kyle. Brenda was funny, sassy and sometimes cranky but was loved by so many people and will be greatly missed.
The family will be receiving visitors at Richards, Raff & Dunbar from 10am until 11am on Saturday December 14, 2024 with a service directly following at 11am. There will not be a graveside service.
