Karen Leona Vanover

Karen Leona Vanover age 73 of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 6, 2024, unexpectedly at Springfield Regional Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born the daughter of Charles A. “Pat” & Garnet (Woodgeard) Higgins Longstreath on July 18, 1951, in Springfield, Ohio.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Carter Vanover in 1996; brothers Paul & Thomas Gulasa; sister Charlene Walden.  Karen is survived by her beloved daughter Audrey (Dj) Ramey of Springfield; son Carter (Thomaseah) Vanover Jr.; grandchildren Amanda (Scott), Lucas, Stephen (Rash’e), Michael (Amber), & Gary; 10 great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family & a host of church family & friends.  Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, & friend.  She will be missed by all of those who love her.  Karen was a longtime & faithful member of Greater Life Springfield Apostolic Church.  In her spare time she enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Friends & family may call on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 10AM – 11AM at Greater Life Springfield 200 Snyder Street Springfield, Ohio 45504 where a funeral service will be held at 11AM with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating.  Entombment to follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
