WALKER, Julie Z. of Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023. The daughter of Arthur Mose and Jessie Alene (Williams) Zeller, she was born September 27, 1927, in Medway, Ohio. She grew up there and graduated from Olive Branch High School, where she was a cheerleader. She attended the Ohio State University and worked at Wright-Patterson Air Base in Fairborn, Ohio, where she met her beloved husband of 62 years, Roger, who preceded her in death. Her sister, Marileen Heironimus, of Columbus, Ohio, survives her. Her brothers, John, Zane “Tag”, and David, and her sister, Marjorie, predeceased her. A long-term resident of Williamsville, NY, she was an avid gardener and award-winning flower arranger. After retirement from Falls Church, VA, she and Roger first moved to Winchester, VA, then Sun City Center, FL, and for the past 28 years lived in and around Peachtree City, GA. Julie and Roger raised five children: Wesley (Diane), Kent, Jon (Helen), David – now deceased (Wendy O.), and Wendy Tenney (Joseph). Eleven grandchildren survive her: Kristen, Elizabeth, Jason, Ryan, Alyssa, Mariah, Eirik, Alexandra, Jonas, Amanda, and Jesse, as well as eleven great-grandchildren. Julie was an active member of the Williamsville Methodist Church, the Medway Methodist Church and the Medlake Lioness Club. She was a consummate cook, seamstress, and caregiver. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:00 am with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am on Monday, August 7 at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio.
