Joseph Wayne Huber Sr.

Joseph Wayne Huber Sr. age 72 of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  He was born the son of Donald & Edna (Durst) Huber on June 28, 1951, in Gallipolis, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother Edwin Huber; sister Juanita Gurreri; nephew Robert Falensky.  Joseph is survived by his beloved children Edward “Lucky” McGuire of Springfield, Amanda Kay Rodgers of Springfield, Joseph “Peanuts” Huber Jr. of Springfield, Charles (Jewels) Huber of Columbus, Heather Markley of Springfield, Richard Greeno of Circleville, & Joseph Isaac of Springfield; siblings Kathleen (Charles Grove) Falensky, Donna (Phillip) Smith, Craig (Mary Catherine)Huber, Jonathan Huber, Joanne Miller, & James Huber; aunt Emma Durst Shirley; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.  Joseph was a loving dad, grandfather, brother, & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  For several years he was employed at George Haucke Hardware in Springfield.    Joseph was known in our area as a “Jack of all trades” he enjoyed working on painting jobs, plumbing, &  heating & air, if he thought he could make a buck, he was willing to give it a shot.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching boxing matches, & fishing.  Most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family & friends.  A visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 12PM – 1PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio  where a funeral service will be held at 1PM with Phil Grear officiating.  Interment to follow in Vale Cemetery.
