Jonathan R. Finney

Jonathan R. Finney age 67 of South Vienna went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton while surrounded by his loving family.  He was born the son of Roger & Frances (Campbell) Finney on October 5, 1955 in Springfield, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jody Finney.  Jonathan is survived by his beloved wife Sheila Finney of 48 years; son Jon (Rebecca) Finney of New Carlisle; daughters Julie (Jamie) Spriggs of South Vienna, & Jill (Chris) Cook of Springfield; sister Jackie Finney; grandchildren Tanner, Ella, Preslee, & Kennedi; uncle Kenneth Finney; K9 companion Angel; several nieces, nephews, many friends, & a host of church family.  Jonathan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  Jonathan was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ & was saved at 9 years of age.  He was a longtime member of Maiden Lane Church of God.  Jonathan was a hard worker & after many years of faithful service he retired as a driver with UPS.  He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially game night with his grandkids.  Most of all he enjoyed sharing his love for the Lord with his kids, & grandkids.  A private family funeral will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements entrusted to RICHARDS, RAFF, & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.  Expressions of sympathy may be shared to the family at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
