John F. Payne, Sr., 55, of Tipp City passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017. He was born September 8, 1961 in Berea, KY, the son of Bill and Bonnie Payne. John was a driver for Pence Milk Transport and was a member of Mt. Olive Lodge #226 F&AM, Christiansburg. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving both hunting and fishing. John was a tinkerer who loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his mother. John is survived by his wife of 28 years Margaret; his father Bill; daughters Tammy (Mark) Brewer, Christina (Bob) Riggs and Melinda (Tim) Mueller; son John F. Payne, Jr.; sister Kathy (Glen) Holder; grandchildren James, Sam, Austin, Nathan, Mark, Chelsea and Dominic; niece Kira Johnson; nephew Connor Holder; and great-nephew Elijah Johnson. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 6-7 PM in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com.
