John Vincent Mcwilliams, Iii

John Vincent McWilliams III, age 80, of New Carlisle, OH, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. Preceded in death by his loving wife Cindy, his brother Robert, and his parents, Ethel and John. A patriot and proud veteran of the US Navy, he worked as a truck driver for several years, and then at Chrysler. He loved bowling and served for years as a bowling coach. After retiring, he spent years portraying Santa Claus at the Upper Valley Mall and private events. He loved fishing, gardening, and canning. He would often sell his produce and jellies at the local farmers’ market. John is survived by his daughter, Heather; step-sons, Mark and Scott; sister, Carole; grandchildren, Wade, Reece, Seth, Trevor, Alicia, Ashton, Patrick, Jacob, Devery, Shalee, and Jimmy; Nieces, Rachelle and Megan; Nephew, Kevin; and numerous extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at Dayton National Cemetery on July 11, 2023, at 1 pm.
