News Death Notice

McFEETERS, John R. "Jack" 89 of South Vienna went home to the Lord on December 6, 2015. He was born in Haddon Heights, NJ on September 2, 1926, the son of John J. and Nellie McFeeters. Jack proudly served his country in the US Navy for eleven years during the Korean War. He retired from the Owens Illinois Company and had previously worked for the Pacemaker Boat Co. as the Plant Manager. He held a license in NJ as an engineer. Jack also served in the US Coast Guard as a special officer for twenty years in Vineland, NJ and as a NJ sate marine officer. He was a life member of the VFW and was active in the Experimental Aviation Association and the Mad River Airport. Jack was also a member of the Springfield Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife Delores; sister Elizabeth "Betty" and brother Robert W. Survivors include his sons Brad R. and John F. McFeeters; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins including special family members Fletch and Roberta Mowell and their family. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00AM until time of services at Noon in the Springfield Church of Christ with Bill Warax officiating. Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions are requested to the Springfield Church of Christ, 1620 Buck Creek Ln, Springfield, OH 45502. RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Memorial contributions are requested to the Springfield Church of Christ.
