John J. Martin

John J. Martin 74, formerly of New Carlisle, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born June 17, 1947, in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late John & Lena (Myers) Martin. He was known to be seen at Studebakers often. He loved to drive his Chevy pick up and tractor. John is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Ron) McFarland & Melinda (Doug) DeWitt; grandchildren, Sarah, Noah & Christian DeWitt, and Kayla & Hunter McFarland; sisters Goldie St John & Phyllis Rarey; brothers Tom (Marilyn) Martin & Mike Martin; special friend Tammy Beverly & many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Priscilla Martin; sisters, Bonnie Schaffer, Thelma Uptegraft & Shirley Hay. Visitation will be Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, from 1-2pm with the service to follow at 2pm.
