John C. Jones

John C. Jones, 72, of New Carlisle passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 13, 2023. He was born on December 14, 1950, to the late John & Janet Jones. John grew up in Fairborn, Ohio and graduated from Baker High School in 1969. John went on to join the United States Army right after high school and served during the Vietnam War. He later went on to have two children Kristina & Ben. John retired from D.E.S.C. in Kettering. John was a huge baseball fan and followed the Cincinnati Reds. John was often affectionately called Sarge by his friends and family. He is survived by his children, Kristina Jones & Ben Jones; grandsons, Connor Jones, Parker Kanet & Grayson Jones; longtime friend, Rebecca Grassie. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by an uncle, Claude Rieske. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery.
