John Brooks Sr.

John Brooks Sr. age 73 of South Vienna passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born the son of Ernest R. & Julia (McWilliams ) Brooks on April 8, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Billie Jo Brooks; brothers Bill & Gary Brooks; sister Vicki Strader. John is survived by his 3 sons Roy A. "Tony Bull" Brooks of Springfield, John D. "Jon Jon" Brooks Jr. of South Vienna, & Michael R. (Brandi) Brooks of Springfield; grandchildren Molly (Justin) Palmer, Brittany (Joey Hall) Brooks, Marissa Brooks, Meghan Brooks, & Makenna Brooks; great grandchildren Peyton Palmer, Kendall Palmer, Carter Copeland, & Nellie Jo Palmer; sisters Brenda ( Daniel) Sherrock, Ginny (Bud) Davis, & Carol Smith; several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends. John worked for International Harvester with over 30 years of dedicated service. In his spare time he enjoyed cruising around town on his custom Fat Boy bike, hunting, & fishing. However, he enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time with his family & cooking them a special meal. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
