John “Bill” W. Burns 67, of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on February 28, 2024. He was born in Dayton but grew up in Donnelsville, the son of the late John and Rita Burns. Bill was an avid motorcycle rider and loved to hunt and fish. He worked for many years at Springfield City Schools and Wittenburg University as a master plumber and ran his own business, Bill’s Plumbing. Bill was a jokester and will be remembered for making you laugh in any situation. He was the family political advisor and shared all his advice for his family. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Beverly Burns, his children Renee (Brandon), Ashley (Joshua), Carrie (Kyle) & Brittany; 10 grandsons; brother James Burns, best friend Jeff Jamison, and many aunts, uncles & cousins. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson Jordan Burns. Visitation will be held March 7, 2024, from 10 am- 11 am with the service to follow at 11 am at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home a graveside service will follow at 2 pm at Milledgeville Plymouth Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ohio.
