John David Armstrong

John David Armstrong, 73, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016. A lifelong resident of Springfield, David was born on Feb. 1, 1943, the son of John P. and Frances (Jacoby) Armstrong. He was a loving friend and companion who will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, especially at TAC Industries. He loved wearing watches, collecting miniature cars and playfully teasing people. Most of all, he was an avid Ohio State Buckeye football fan. David was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Michael and Joseph Armstrong. His survivors include his co-guardians, cousins Mary (Jacoby) Powers and Diane Steinert; his friends at Mueller Center and TAC Industries; longtime caregivers Hope Griffin, Jackie Horner and Kathy Kelly; and special friend Beverly. The family expresses sincere thanks to the many caregivers who worked so hard to assure that David had a happy, fulfilling life. Service to honor David will be Monday at 2:00PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial to follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Yellow Springs.
