Joann Netts

Joann Netts, 81, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 following a brief illness. She was born October 2, 1934 in Springfield the daughter of Harold "Bud" and Beatrice (Kersey) Marshall, and was a 1952 graduate of Springfield High School. Joann married Morris Netts July 3, 1953 and together they worked as owner/operators of Netts Floral Company. She was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church for over fifty years, and recently had been attending Trinity Lutheran Church. Joann was a Girl Scout leader for many years, enjoyed baking for family and friends, and loved to travel throughout the United States and abroad. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Julie and Tony Quinones of Enon; her son Terry Netts of Springfield; one sister Dorothy Washburn of Enon; seven grandchildren Andrea (Ryan Doll), Nicholas and Sara Quinones, Shelby, Drew and Casey Netts, and Melissa Harris; three great grandchildren Lilia, Julian and Connor; four nieces; and loved her special card club friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Morris H. Netts in 2012 and a sister Kathleen Satz. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Joann’s life will be Saturday at 10:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Roger Herrig officiating. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
