Jeannine F. Friend

Jeannine F. Friend, 91, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024. She was born and resided in Bethel Township, Miami County her entire life. She was born at her home to the late John & Esther (Bechtolt) Campbell on August 7, 1932. She attended the University of Dayton with her bachelor's degree in education and went on to work at Bethel Local Schools, teaching 5th grade, and later Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Accounting. She was a member of the Bethel Township Historical Society. Jeannine was an avid bowler until she was 90 years old. She and her husband owned and operated for 27 years, Your Friendly Garden Patch, a local garden plant business. She loved crafts, especially knitting and making sweaters for everyone she knew. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Wilbur Friend, daughter Diana (Friend) Jones, and granddaughter, Alyssa Jones. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her aunt Fleta Zollars, and son-in-law Steven Jones. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Trostle, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home with the service to follow the next day Thursday at 10 am.
