Janice Sue (Brumage) Parker, 60, of Springfield quietly passed away at home on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, after complications from a long battle with diabetes. Janice was born in Springfield, OH on August 31, 1955, the daughter of James S. and Elaine Mae (Rowe) Brumage. Janice graduated from North High School and Clark County JVS, where she had studied to become a chef, and she loved to cook for her family and friends. She volunteered at Mercy Medical Center, where she enjoyed helping both the staff as well as the patients. Janice is survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael A. "Sarge" Parker; one son Randy Brumage of Leesburg, FL; one daughter Suzy Parker of Springfield; her father James of Springfield; sister Sherry (Rev. John) Payne of Barbourville, KY; brother James R. (Connie) Brumage of Leesburg, FL; nieces Melissa (Micah) Scent of Barbourville, and Valerie (Mike) Ross of Fairfield, OH; great niece Bailyn; three great nephews John Gabriel, Jonah and Jacob; Janice was preceded in death by her mother Elaine, and her nephew James David Brumage. Janice would also like to thank Jane Veith, who has been her caregiver, and has been like a sister to her through the illness. Special thanks to Terah Sims and the nurses from Cambridge and Blackstone Home Health Care. A very special and heartfelt thank you to everyone that has been involved with Hospice. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Rev. John Payne officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
