Janet Lorrain Martin

Janet Lorrain Martin (NANA) 66 years old was surrounded by loved ones on April 5, 2024, when she was welcomed home by God, her father James, her son David Lee, her brother Dickie, and brother-in-law Geno. Nana was born on August 9, 1957, in Springfield Ohio to her mother Mary Palmer who she absolutely adored and her father James Palmer the greatest man she ever knew. She had four siblings, two sisters Joan and Laura, two brothers Dickie and Johnny that she loved dearly. She met her soulmate David A. Martin (pap pal) in 1978 to whom she was happily married for 46 years. She had two children, a son David Lee Martin, and a daughter Kimberly K Martin that she loved unconditionally. Nana had 12 grandchildren Sierra, Makayla, Jenna, Hailey, Carissa, Kara, Dalton, Mya, Kirsten, Chelsea, Cameron, and Donovon she was also a great grandma to 14 great-grandchildren Alanna, Kamden, Lilly'ana, Zayden, Zay'drian, Na' Miko, Ni' Eko, Alyonna, Julian, Jayce, Sa'Raeya, Ava'Lynn, Braxton and Marshall that she cherished more than anything. Anyone that ever met her loved her she created bonds with everyone but created a special bond with certain people such as April Woodruff who she was very close to and became like a mother too and Mr. Paul Stone that went from a neighbor to part of the family. Nana loved her family more than anything and became her family’s hero. She will forever be in all our hearts because she loved us with all of hers. Visitation will be from 11 am-12noon at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home with the funeral service to follow at 12 noon. The burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
