News Death Notice

BAKER, Jane Ellen 75, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born February 27, 1940 in Trotwood, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Aaron "Bud" & Goldie (Hoff) Miller. She was married to Philip Lee Baker for 52 years. They spent the first two years of their marriage in Schweinfurt, Germany with Phil serving in the U.S. Army. Jane was a graduate of Miami-Jacobs College for Executive Secretarial. She worked at DP&L and retired from Tecumseh High School as their attendance secretary. Her hobbies were reading, Scrabble, euchre, traveling and boating. She was a life member of the local chapter Xi Iota Omicron and the international sorority of Beta Sigma Phi since 1976. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Philip Baker; two sons, David & Nichi (Cate) Baker and Shawn & Nancy (Green) Baker; grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Andrew & Nathan; brother, Don & Carolyn Miller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday in the funeral home.
