News Death Notice

COPLEY, Jr., James M. 72 of Springfield died November 11, 2015 in the SRMC. He was born in Dunlow, WV on October 11, 1943, the son of James M. and Goldie Copley, Sr. Jim retired from Robbins & Myers and later retired from Springfield News Sun. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, fishing and listening to Bluegrass music. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister Idalou Grigsby and nephew Michael Newkirk. Survivors include his daughters Misty (Charles) Foster and April (Matt) Slone; companion Evelyn Evans; former spouse Sharon Copley; several nieces, nephews and cousins including Virginia (Herbert) Page. A memorial service will be held Monday at 7:00PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home with Phil Grear officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to services.
