News Death Notice

COLLINS (Shoemaker), Ilo Maxine 96, was called home by the Lord on January 2, 2016 at her granddaughter's home in Thornton, CO. She was born on October 18, 1919 in Rushsylvania, OH to Lee G. and Freda Shoemaker. Ilo "Mac" lived in Ohio until October 2015 when she went to Colorado to live with her granddaughter due to her ailing health. Ilo married Robert H. Collins on February 15, 1941 in Georgetown, OH. They had two children, Robert L. and James L. Collins. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Robert H., on June 27, 1963 and her son, James, on August 22, 2015. She is survived by her son, Robert L. Collins of Thornton, CO, by her three grandchildren, Robert W. Collins (Kellie) of Littleton, CO; Michelle Marone of Thornton, CO; and Tracy Carlson of Denver, CO; her sister, Thelma Thomlinson of MI. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren, Mifaunwy Collins, Chelsie and Abby Carlson, Vince, Nicky, and Kaylee Marone all of Colorado as well as several nephews. Services to honor Ilo will be Saturday at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
