Homer Dwight Davis, 80, of Springfield died November 24, 2016 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on August 7, 1936, the son of Virgil and Francis (Rinehart) Davis. Homer retired from International Harvester after 36 years as a Press Operator and was a member of UAW Local 402, F.O.E. 397 and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed baking, cooking, singing, karaoke, dancing and playing Santa Claus during the Christmas season. Homer is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beverly Ann (Boatman) Davis; two daughters Robin Davis and Veronica (Don) Smith; one son Dennis Davis; brothers Jimmy (Sarah) Davis and Larry (Lori) Davis; sister Nancy (Ralph) Hannah; eight grandchildren Andrew, Adam, Abigail, Dustin, Brittany(Jon), Corey, Patricia and Chris(Jennifer); two great grandchildren Marcus and Lindsey; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters and a greatgrandson Wyatt. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM. in theRICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. BringleWaldon officiating.
