Helen M. Ward

Helen M. Ward, 95, of Springfield formerly of Dayton went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016. She was born on March 21, 1921 in Prescot, Michigan, the daughter of Nelson and Clara (Fagan) VanMeer. Helen enjoyed working in her yard and baking many different pies. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Gary Ward. Helen is survived by her husband of almost 66 years Chester L. Ward; a son and daughter-in-law William and Clarene Johnson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A funeral service to honor Helen will be Wednesday at 12:00 PM in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services.
