Helen E. Payne

Helen E. Payne, 89, gained her Heavenly rest on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born April 4, 1935, in Goings City, Ohio to the late Roy & Effie Crabtree. She is survived by her son, William “Bill” Anthony Payne; daughter, Helen Lorraine (Michael) Pierce; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren & sister Mary Elder and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands Donald Payne & Joe Beverly; sons, Larry Lee Payne, Roy Eugene Payne, Richard Allen Payne & Michael Ray Payne; grandchildren, Jason Fuller & Amber Payne; siblings, Nellie, Everett, Kenneth, Marie, George, Virginia, Mildred, Peachie & Jane. Helen worked for many years as a Nurses Aid at the Knights of Pythian. Helen’s family will cherish many fond memories of her making homemade noodles, wanting to go play bingo and always having a puzzle she was working on. Helen was the most loving and caring mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. Visitation will be held at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 12 noon to 1pm with the service to honor Helen’s life to follow at 1pm.
