News Death Notice



BALDAUF, Helen R. 97, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. She was born June 28, 1918 in Ft. Recovery, Ohio the daughter of the late Daniel & Emma (Kochersperger) Yaeger. She graduated from Ft. Recovery High School in 1936 and was valedictorian of her class, graduated from Capitol University Business School in 1937 & then attended Capitol University. She was employed in the Treasurer's office at the university for 2 years, and in December 10, 1939 was married to John L. Baldauf of Portland, Indiana. They resided in Windsor, Connecticut, and then moved to Springfield. She was a member of the Donnelsville First Lutheran Church and served in several ministries of the church and especially enjoyed the Altar Guild, being a member of that for over 50 years. She loved baking cookies and taking them to older friends in the area. She was a member of the NARFE and the Friendly Neighbor Club on W. National Road. She is survived by a daughter, Carole & Ron Replogle; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Baldauf; a daughter, Sharon Baldauf Brubaker. Visitation will be 10-12 AM Friday February 5, 2016 with funeral services at 12 noon in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arise In Christ Lutheran Church, 116 E.
