Grace Juanita Walker

Grace Juanita Walker, 98, of Springfield passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was born on April 23, 1918, the daughter of Harold Joseph and Fannie Louise (Mongold) Rude. Grace was a past member of Fellowship Christian Church, Bethel Baptist Church and High St. United Methodist Church. She was a past President of many Eastern Star clubs and a 66 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Neal and Norris Chapter serving as Worthy Matron in 1976, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2011. Grace is preceded in death by her husband in 1995, Charles Richard Walker; a sister Mary Smiddy; brothers Howard and Rod; and a grandson Jamie Walker. She is survived by her children Shirley (Ken Benedetto) Chapman, Steve (Suzanne) Walker and Dave (Vickie) Walker; grandchildren Gary, Craig and Ron Chapman, Greg Walker, Cami Clark, Jessica Walker, Jennifer Willman, Barry Walker and Rachel Walker; great-grandchildren Kerry, Todd, Ryan, Dustin, Zachary, Abbigail, Kayla, Jonathen and Eli. A Funeral service to honor Grace will be Monday at 2:00 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the start of service.
