December 12, 1939 — November 4, 2021

Our father peacefully went home to the Heavens. Blessed be his soul! Glen Eugene Shaffer, son of Virgil T. Shaffer & Lena V Dulaney was born December 12, 1939 in McArthur, Ohio & went home the evening of November 4, 2021. He was 81 years old and leaves behind his wife Mary Grabans Shaffer. He has 3 daughters Angela Shaffer (deceased), Sandra Castello, Brenda Stacy & 1 son Glen (Dole) Shaffer. 6 grandchildren Roger Travis, Rick Travis and Amber Taylor (Sandra’s Children). Raymond Stacy & Jeremy Stacy (Brenda’s Children). Caroline Crabtree (Doles daughter). He has 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He has 1 brother mike, 4 sister Norma, Betty, Phyllis, & Barbara. Our father always had a genuine smile and a huge warm heart to share and was a very giving man. Throughout his life, he touched so many by reaching out a helping hand, making a difference in so many lives. Dad was always able to see the good in people and those who knew him, loved him. He loved us unconditionally and always put us before himself. We have many great memories we share and those memories we will hold dearly in our hearts forever. He was old fashion in his way of thinking and believed in integrity, honesty, and respect for his fellow man. These are the traits he passed on to us to make us stronger and wise. If he met you, he made you smile. Dad was a member of the Jesus Only Church of Springfield, Ohio and helped build the church. He loved wood working of all phases, from refurbishing antiques to building this beautiful little church. All are welcome to share our final farewells with our dad Tuesday, November 9th 5PM – 7PM at the RICHARDS, RAFF, & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio. Pastor Ray Cain will be giving the closing prayer at 7PM. Everyone is welcome to wear their flannel because dad would want everyone comfortable & relaxed.
