News Death Notice



BOWMAN, Gladys Mae 86, of Urbana, Ohio passed away Monday, February 22, 2016. She was born February 16, 1930 in Chambersburg, PA the daughter of the late David and Ethel (Barnhart) Lesher. She worked at St. Paris Hardware for many years. She is survived by her children, Gretchen (John) Snyder of New Carlisle, Bonita Hoblit of West Manchester, OH, Kyle (Nancy) Bowman, of St. Paris, Beverly (Daryl) Grossnickle of Piqua; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Janet Elstun of PA, Marie (Melvin) Wolf of WI and Faye (Eugene) Wolf, of IN; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Bowman; son-in-law, Marvin Hoblit; brother-in-law, Morris Elstun; sister, Phyllis (Harlan) Benedict. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Old German Baptist Church, 6360 W. Farrington Rd., Covington, OH. Funeral services will take place at 10 AM, Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the church. Burial will follow at the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
