McROBERTS, Gertrude Mae 93, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away on Tuesday January 12, 2016. She was born January 30, 1922 in Dennison, IL the daughter of the late Roy and Julia (Maloney) Higgins. After graduating from high school, Gertrude completed business college, then began working for Wright Field during WWII. She is survived by daughter, Ruth Williamson; two sons, Paul (Darlene) McRoberts and Larry (Jean) McRoberts; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles Herman McRoberts and her two sisters. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of New Carlisle, New Carlisle, OH. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Jeff Christmas officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of New Carlisle, 8870 E State Route 571, New Carlisle, OH 45344 and or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
