93, of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. She was born December 14, 1922 in Carter County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Steve & Ethel (Kiser) Jarvis. She is survived by two sons, Charles H. Jr. (Susan) Black, Don (Debbie) Black, two daughters, Maurita Phipps, Judy (Dennis) Reck; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a great great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Black, Sr.; a daughter, Helen Black; grandson, Bryon Smith; son-in-law, Gerald Phipps; four brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be 11-1 PM Friday, July 8, 2016 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 1 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at SpringMeade Nursing Home and Hospice of Miami County for the loving care she received.
