Gary A. Mcconnaughey

Gary A. McConnaughey, 63, of New Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was born October 4, 1953 in Hillsboro, OH, the son of the late Wayne and Barbara McConnaughey. Gary was well known for walking with his grocery cart and being a frequent guest of his favorite restaurant Lee's Famous Recipe. He would also attend the many different events held at the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren. Gary was a kind soul who would do his best to help his community, friends and family. He is preceded in death by his sister Diane Davis. Gary is survived by his sister Sharon Farquer; brothers Danny (Karen) McConnaughey and Steven McConnaughey; niece Amy Kohrer; and nephews Jason Farquer, Mitch Davis and James Corp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Carlisle Church of the Brethren, New Carlisle Food Pantry or the New Carlisle EMS, all of which did many things to help Gary. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM in Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, with funeral services at 7:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com.
