News Death Notice
BENNETT, Gary L. 68 of Yellow Springs passed away December 6, 2015. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 11, 1946, the son of Henry F. and Pauline Bennett. Gary was the owner of Bennett's Tree Service. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Brenda Smith and brother James Bennett. His survivors include his wife Lana Sue Bennet whom he married January 31, 1972; daughter Cherie Johnson; son Jerry (Misty) Bennett; step son Mike (Stacey) Peters; sisters Teresa (Scott) Keller and Shelly Bennett; brothers Randy Bennet and Thomas (Lottie) Bennett; grandchildren Kyle (Becca), Tyler, Nathan, Ryan, Kaylee, Jessica and a grandchild Danielle, whom he was raising; great-grandson Kyle; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A service to honor Gary will be Thursday at 1:00PM in the Memorial Home with Rev. Rick Clos officiating. Burial to follow in Terre Haute Cemetery.
