Fred E. Baker

Baker, Fred E., 81 of Springfield, Ohio died December 17, 2016 in his residence. He was born in Vinton County, Ohio on June 6, 1935, the son of John W. and Addie Baker, Sr. He worked at Schaefer’s Bakery prior to retiring from International Harvester as truck mechanic. He enjoyed playing music on the organ and guitar. Fred also was an accomplished woodworker and was very particular in how he finished his work. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty Baker; brothers Carl D., John W. Jr., Earl B., Robert G., Guy Russell Baker; sister Judy Mayo. Survivors include his children Richard E. (Kimberly) Baker, Wade E. Baker, Kerry Lynn Hamilton, Sue E. Henry and Rhonda Feasel; brother Raymond (Jenny) Baker; sisters Shirley (John) Pitts, Dorothy J. Morrison and Phyllis (Richard) Scott; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
