WINKHART, Fanny Marie 93, of Enon, died peacefully on September 22, 2015. She was born on August 10, 1922 to Edward J. and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Mitman) Ark. After graduation in 1940, she was employed for a short time at Crowell Collier Publishing before going to what was then Wright Field. She enlisted in the Women's Army Corps during WWII where she served in New Guinea and the Philippines. After retiring from Wright Patterson AFB, she trained to become a reading tutor of adults and served as a VISTA (Volunteers In Service to America) at the old Warder Library building for the Clark County Literacy Coalition. She was married to the love of her life, Ralph Winkhart, on June 13, 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Vicki Bellew Metz; her parents; sisters Isabelle Burns, Marianna and Lucy Ark; brothers Russell, Fred, Roy, Elmer, Harry, Billie and Richard Ark. Fanny is survived by her daughter Valerie (William "Fritz") Baader; grandchildren Barbara "Bobii" (Rhett) Kane, Kelly Bellew, Randall Bellew, Thomas Bellew and Amanda Metz; seven great-grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A service to honor Fanny's life will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in the memorial home with Rev. Jeff Mohr officiating.
