Ethel Dieker

Ethel A. Dieker, 86, of Park Layne passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born January 4, 1936 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Eugene and Bessie Rinehart. Ethel retired from the Mel-o-deeRestaurant in Park Layne. She was a people person and enjoyed making friends. Ethel loved her family; her family and friends were the most important things in her life. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Dennis Dieker; husband Frank H. Simonson; and husband Herb Shannon. Ethel is survived by her children Denise Dieker, Dorothy (Gayron) Flanary, David (Teresa) Dieker, Dale Dieker, Donna (Calvin) Cyphers and Bill Estep; brothers Gene (Vivian) Rinehart, Bob Rinehart and Earl Rinehart; sister Barb Mopps; 9 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 4-7pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
