Ethel Leona Blue

Ethel Leona Blue, 73, of New Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. She was born December 2, 1949, in Harrison County, KY, the daughter of Carl and Della Hill. Ethel worked as a librarian at Park Layne Elementary, retiring after 36 years. Ethel loved her Park Layne community, volunteering her time for many local charities. She is preceded in death by her husband Terry Blue, Sr.; brothers Robert “Snooky”, Jim and Jack; and sister Barbara. Ethel is survived by her son Terry Blue, Jr.; daughter Angela Blue; grandchildren Teresa (Chris) McWhorter and Jed Decker; sister Sharon (Don) McCray; and great-grandchild Jordyn Blue; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 12:30pm-1:30pm with the service to honor Ethel at 1:30 pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
