Ernestine Aldridge

Ernestine Wallen Aldridge, 85, of Springfield, Ohio went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 21, 2018 following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Ernestine was born August 7, 1932 in Whitehouse, Kentucky with her twin brother Phillip Gene Wallen. She was preceded in death by her father, Isom Wallen, mother Grace VanHoose Wallen, her husbands, Howard Aldridge and Gene Barry; sisters Lydia Meek, Irretta Justice, Louella Osborne, and Josephine Booth; brothers Leslie, Earl, and Phillip Gene Wallen. She is survived by her daughter Teresa Diane (James) Bogard and her son, Brian Keith (Jenny Lovell) Aldridge; sisters Dolores Burr and Doris Calvert; granddaughters, Ashley Aldridge, Erica Aldridge, Emily Aldridge and Hannah Craycraft; grandsons, Gabriel Bogard, Adam Bogard and Benjamin Bogard; and 10 wonderful great grandchildren, all of Springfield, Ohio. She also leaves behind a large number of nieces, nephews and special friends whom she loved very much. Ernestine attended Beatty Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member for more than 50 years. She loved her Church and singing with her sisters. Visitation will be Monday from 12 Noon – 1 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Ernestine’s life will be Monday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Steve Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
