Eleanor L. Whetstine

Eleanor L. Whetstine, 102, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was born February 27, 1922, in Franklin County, IN, the daughter of the late Basil and Gertrude Hutchens. Eleanor was a talented artist, who used oil paint as her medium to create beautiful paintings that she would share with family. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Eleanor is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Roy and Sharon Landrum; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Sara and Thomas Tavenner; great-grandchildren Gavin and Kaitlyn; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Phyllis Evans, Mary Jane Langford, and Sovilla Turley; and brother Donald Hutchens. Private services was held by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. Burial was held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com.
