Elaine Louise Benton

Elaine Louise Benton, 79, of New Carlisle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Dayton on April 21, 1945, to the late Richard and Loraine Crutchfield. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1963. She loved to crochet and made over 500 afghans for her family and friends. She enjoyed reading and spending time outdoors in her flower beds. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her husband of 33 years Jack Benton; her children, Bryan (Christine) Strunk, Stephanie (Scott) Hudkins & Adrienne (Ron) Heeren; grandchildren, Clayton Strunk, Brittany Dunn, Sydney Markley & Alexa Hudkins; great-grandchildren, Addison, Elyse, Eryk, Andrea, Carter, Aalyiah; siblings, Karen (George) Gatton, Steve (Rita) Crutchfield, Jan (Phil) Fisher & Jerry Crutchfield; sisters in law, Judy Horstman, Jill Curtain,  June Easter and brother in law Jim Benton, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Along with her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by a son Eric Strunk, brother and sister-in-law Dick & Carol Crutchfield, and sister-in-law Dixie Crutchfield.
